The Rowan County Historical Society was established in 1977 as a group of people who shared a common interest in any phase of the history of Rowan County, Kentucky and vicinity. Members work to organize historical research and promote community awareness of all aspects of the county’s heritage, which includes publications on the history of Rowan County.
