Postcard of the Main Building at Hamilton College in Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky.

Hamilton College was a private women's college from 1869-1932. Its original name was Hocker Female College (1869-1878) before changing its name after doner William Hamilton. It was taken over by Transylvania University in 1903. It remained in operation as a junior college until it closed down during the Great Depression.
