Abstract
A recording of the initial ceremonies of the 53rd Annual Morehead State University spring commencement ceremony, with an invocation from Chet Arty, associate pastor of the Jesus Our Savior Catholic Church, a presentation of honorary doctorates from Lawrence E. Forgy, Jr., of Louisville, Ky, and William A. Butts, of Frankfort Ky, a commencement address from William A. Butts, president of Kentucky State University, Presentation of the graduating class by John R. Duncan, vice president for academic affairs, a conferring of degrees by president Adron Doran, of Morehead State University, the presentation of diplomas by Gene W. Scholes, dean of academic programs, and finally a reading of the names of the graduates by William B. Pierce, dean of institutional services, recorded on May 7, 1976.
