Steve Hamilton was a relief pitcher who played twelve years for five teams: the Cleveland Indians, 1961; Washington Senators, 1962-1963; New York Yankees, 1963-1970; Chicago White Sox, 1970; San Francisco Giants, 1971; Chicago Cubs, 1972. He played 421 games with a win-loss record of 40 and 31, and developed a slow speed, high pitch known as the “folly-floater.” In 1973, Hamilton worked as a scout for the New York Yankees and in 1975 as a pitching coach for the Detroit Tigers. In 1976, he became Morehead State University's head baseball coach where he was named Ohio Valley Conference coach of the year five times. Hamilton later became MSU’s athletic director in 1988.
The interviews were believed to have been conducted in spring of 1970.
