Description

The Hunt-Morgan House, also called the Hopemont, was built in 1814 by John Wesley Hunt (1773-1849). He is the grandfather of Brigadier General John Hunt Morgan (1825-1964), and great-grandfather of Dr. Thomas Hunt Morgan (1866-1945) who won the Nobel Prize in 1933.
