Description

Monsieur Giron's Confectionery, Mill Street, Lexington, Fayette County, Kentucky was built in 1810. It was rebuilt as a 2 story Greek Revival made of brick in 1829. French immigrant Mathurin Giron came to Lexington in the early 1800s and in 1812, took out an ad to be a confectionary apprentice.

Giron purchased the building from Henry Terrass and was temporarily partnered with H.I.I. Robert in 1814. Giron was at the Mill Street location and Robert at the Main Street location. Giron retired in 1844.
