The Morehead State Student Government Association Annual Scrapbooks are a series of scrapbooks created by members of the student government to document the activities and events sponsored by the association. The scrapbooks contain newspaper clippings, event programs and flyers, and related ephemera.
The Student Government Association at Morehead State evolved from the Student Council which was organIzed in the fall of 1931 to assist the directors of the residence halls. The first Student Council election was conducted in the fall of 1948. The Student Council was renamed the Student Government Association in the fall of 1970. Presently, the S.G.A. addresses student concerns by improving the "overall quality of student life and work to make the college experience the best it can be."
