Jesse Stuart Oral History Collection
The Jessie Stuart Oral History Collection consists of digitized audio recordings of, or related to, Kentucky author and poet Jesse Hilton Stuart. The recordings are of speeches, lectures, presentations, and interviews with Jesse Stuart from the 1950s to the 1980s.

Jesse Stuart was a writer, school teacher, and school administrator known for his short stories, poetry, novels and autobiographical works set in the hills and mountains of eastern Kentucky. Stuart was named the poet laureate of Kentucky in 1954.

Recordings are to be used for research purposes only. Commercial or for profit use is prohibited. Researchers must cite Morehead State University Special Collections & Archives as the repository where the collection is housed.
