Abstract
An unrehearsed interview with Alfred Bailey for the Morehead State University Vintage Fiddlers Oral History Project. The interview was conducted by Marynell Young at Alfred Bailey's home, 435 Fountain Avenue, Flemingsburg, KY 41041. Interview includes a fiddle tune about Andrew Jackson's wife and other tunes titled New Money (in the key of C), Girl I Left Behind Me, Old Dan Tucker, Breakdown Hornpipe, Forked Deer, Waltz (un-named waltz from Harry Glascocke, Over The Waves, Old Pumkin Vine, Old Flanagan, Peacock Rag, Little Burnt Potato, Haste to The Wedding (A jig), Well I'll try, Flowers Of Edinburgh (A reel), Deer Walk, Leather Britches, Gray Eagle, Whistlin' Rufus, Paddy on the Turnpike, and Smith's Reel (only high part of Smith's Reel).
