Abstract
An unrehearsed interview with Virgil Alfrey for the Morehead State University Vintage Fiddlers Oral History Project. The interview was conducted by Marynell Young at the Alfrey Residence, Worthington, KY 41183. Mr. Alfrey discusses the musical structure of the waltz. Tunes played included Dreamer's Waltz, Apple Blossom, The Last Waltz, Rose of Sharon, Martha Campbell, Ace of Spades, Arkansas Traveller, Roxanna Waltz, Dusty Hornpipe, Mother's Old Sun Bonnet (sung by Clela Alfrey), Rutland's Reel, Rutland's Reel.
