Abstract
A documentary film on Mayfield, Kentucky author Bobbie Ann Mason. The film chronicles her writing career, including her early love of reading, her time as president of the Hilltoppers' fan club, college life, and her career as a writer for a fan magazine in New York. She shares her influences, creative processes and perceptions of the joys and difficulties of being a writer. She also discusses her award-winning novels, "In Country" and "Feather Crowns," and presents readings from "Love Life," "Shiloh and Other Stories," and "Spence and Lila." Includes interviews with her family, friends, and literary agent. Produced by Kentucky Educational Television in 1995.
