Abstract

A documentary film on the collapse of a company-owned coal-waste dam that took more than 125 lives in the West Virginia coal mining region of Buffalo Creek in 1972. The documentary uses newsreel footage, old photographs, newspaper headlines, aerial views, and an automobile tour. Produced by Appalshop Inc. in 1985.
