The star in the Nativity scene is called the Star of Bethlehem. It is the star that led the Three Wise Men from the East to Jerusalem. The men found a newborn Jesus in Bethlehem. The Nativity scene depicts the story of Jesus being born in a manger surrounded by his parents, the three wise men, their gifts, and some animals. The Star is above the manger.
