George M. Luckey, Jr. Academic Honors Program

Director: Dr. Philip Krummrich

The George M. Luckey, Jr. Academic Honors Program at Morehead State University is an enriched, rigorous scholastic program. The purpose of the Honors Program is to challenge the truly outstanding student to pursue educational goals more lofty and meaningful than mere good grades. Students in the Program take specially-designed options for some of their general education requirements, participate in regional engagement, undergraduate research, and international experiences, and complete a senior project. Through their educational experiences in the classroom and in other contexts, students in the Program will not only master the knowledge required for their chosen fields, but also be able to relate what they learn to other fields of study, and to articulate what they know for non-specialized audiences.
